About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring Engineering students for a paid internship in our Spokane, Washington office. This is an on-site position. We are looking for students to join our team on a rolling basis to support our civil engineering design and planning projects.
What you'll do#
- Use technical software to analyze, produce, and quality control project deliverables.
- Work on pre-construction civil engineering tasks including design, planning, modification, and permitting.
- Assist project managers and collaborate with team members across different disciplines.
- Solve complex engineering problems.
- Learn federal, state, and local regulations relevant to our projects.
- Gain experience with company and client-specific practices, procedures, and standards.
- Develop skills in discipline-specific software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, or GIS.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree from an ABET accredited program.
- Eligible majors include Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, as well as Engineering Technology.

- Location: Spokane, Washington.

- Compensation: $25 to $28 per hour.
- Status: Full-time internship.
