About the role#
As a Structural Engineer Intern for our Substation team, you will contribute to infrastructure projects while gaining hands-on experience in engineering design and analysis. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of design specifications and contract drawings.
- Assist with engineering analyses, report production, and design tasks.
- Prepare basic calculations for project needs.
- Analyze systems using computer modeling software.
- Organize and maintain project materials and references.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program.
- A preferred emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Completion of at least one design course is preferred.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Initiative, attention to detail, and a self-starting mindset.
Location & details#
- This position is on-site at one of our offices in Overland Park, KS; Bloomington, MN; or Houston, Austin, College Station, or Dallas, TX.
- This is a full-time internship role.
