About the role#
As a civil engineering intern on our Site Design team, you will perform hands-on work on real-world projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support retail, commercial, residential, and industrial land development. This role is designed to bridge the gap between your classroom studies and your future career.
What you'll do#
- Create construction plans for site layouts, grading, stormwater, and utilities.
- Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop design documentation.
- Conduct research and write technical reports.
- Travel to job sites to observe project progress.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a civil engineering degree program.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on problem-solving.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- A desire to take ownership of your work and contribute to community-focused projects.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- The role is on-site at our Fort Worth, TX, Plano, TX, or Oklahoma City, OK offices.
