About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is hiring for a Summer 2027 Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern in Portland. This full-time, paid position allows you to apply your academic knowledge to real-world water resources and wastewater projects. You will work alongside project teams to support our clients in the water environment, transportation, and industrial sectors.
What you'll do#
- Prepare technical reports and perform engineering calculations.
- Create pre-construction conditions documentation and design plans.
- Manage ongoing project tasks and communicate with other team members.
- Participate in site visits and contribute to client meetings.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- You have completed at least your sophomore year in an accredited engineering program.
- You possess a solid understanding of engineering principles and calculations.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Portland, Oregon.
- The position follows a hybrid work model, requiring at least two days per week in the office.
- The pay rate for this position ranges from $21 to $26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
