About the role#
This nine-week summer program provides an introduction to risk management within the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB). The internship begins with orientation and training in New York, where participants learn about products, valuation analysis, corporate finance, and risk assessment. Interns are placed within one of three primary groups: Credit Risk, Market Risk, or the Chief Investment Office, Treasury and Corporate (CTC) Risk team. Throughout the program, you will work alongside professionals to manage financial and regulatory performance while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Perform analysis and due diligence on counterparties and products.
- Monitor risk sensitivities across the portfolio.
- Build financial models to support risk assessment.
- Contribute to analytical exercises in response to global events.
- Prepare reports with recommendations for senior management.
- Evaluate market movements that could impact the firm.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a U.S. college or university, pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
- Exceptional quantitative, analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word, with fluency in English.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship.
- Coursework in finance, economics, or accounting is preferred.
