About the role#
The 2027 Commercial & Investment Bank Risk Management Summer Analyst Program is a nine-week internship designed to provide hands-on experience in managing financial and regulatory risk. The program begins with an orientation and training session in New York, where participants learn about the firm's history, products, and risk analysis frameworks. Interns work within one of three specialized teams: Credit Risk, Market Risk, or the Chief Investment Office, Treasury and Corporate (CTC) Risk team. This role involves collaborating across the organization to support business decisions, influence models, and engage with stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Perform analysis and due diligence on counterparties and products.
- Monitor risk sensitivities across the firm's portfolio.
- Build financial models and evaluate market movements that could impact the firm.
- Contribute to analytical exercises in response to global events.
- Prepare reports and provide recommendations for senior management.
- Develop technical skills in areas including valuation, accounting, corporate finance, economics, and capital markets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a U.S. college or university with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
- Exceptional quantitative, analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word, with fluency in English.
- Coursework in finance, economics, or accounting is preferred.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship.
