About the role#
This internship provides a hands-on learning experience for students interested in sports media and content production. Interns will work under the guidance of the research and production team to learn research methodology, sports data literacy, and editorial collaboration. This is a fixed-term, unpaid position intended for students receiving academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Conduct thorough research for baseball-related episodes, including series recaps, topic discussions, and offseason coverage.
- Gather relevant statistics, historical data, and facts for various content shows.
- Perform research and assist in the development of content ideas for JM Football shows.
- Utilize Excel to track and enter data for tournaments and events.
- Collaborate with content creators and producers to provide insights for shows like Talkin’ Yanks, Talkin’ Giants, and trivia segments.
- Shadow the production team during live events to learn real-time data tracking workflows.
What you'll need#
- A strong passion for and knowledge of baseball, football, and general sports.
- Excellent research and data gathering skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and entry.
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A willingness to learn new research tools and adapt to diverse projects.
- Current enrollment in a program requiring academic credit.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31 to December 11).
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: 20 to 30 hours per week, scheduled around classes.
- Majors: Communications, Media Studies, or Journalism.
