About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship within the R&D department at Johnson & Johnson Vision. You will work on-site in Jacksonville, Florida, to support the development of eye health products. The role focuses on applying statistical research to clinical data and simulation studies. You will collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to evaluate project results and contribute to ongoing product research.
What you'll do#
- Execute project assignments related to eye health products, from early research through commercialization.
- Perform statistical research, clinical data analysis, and simulation studies.
- Develop validated and reproducible code using R and SAS.
- Evaluate various meta-analytic methodologies, including their assumptions and suitability for clinical research.
- Review project progress and share results across functional groups.
- Work with the internal Biostatistics team to expand your technical skills and presentation abilities.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year in a PhD program for Statistical Sciences, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in R and SAS, with a strong aptitude for building simulation code.
- Understanding of random effects models and familiarity with clinical trial concepts.
- Knowledge of meta-analytic methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
- Active enrollment in an academic program throughout the internship.
