About the role#
As a Junior Quality Engineering Co-op, you will support quality and engineering initiatives across our manufacturing operations. You will work on process development, equipment installation, and product development tasks. This role involves analyzing data to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Prepare Statistical Process Control (SPC) reports and analyze production data using JMP software.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to boost process capability.
- Provide technical support for tooling, equipment, and product-related issues.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to resolve quality, operational, safety, and production concerns.
- Assist in creating standardized work instructions and process documentation.
- Support compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and EHS requirements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the 3rd or 4th year of a Manufacturing Engineering or related Engineering program.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work in a results-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Location & details#
- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift.
- Compensation: $22 to $24 per hour.
- Status: Full-time paid co-op position.
