About the role#
We are hiring a CNC Setter Operator for a co-op position at our Stratford facility. This role involves setting up and operating CNC equipment to support our production team. You will gain hands-on experience in an automotive manufacturing environment while building your skills in machining and technical problem-solving.
What you'll do#
- Set up CNC machines by installing or removing tooling, chucks, collets, and adapters.
- Load and unload parts while meeting production targets and quality standards.
- Monitor machine performance, index cutting inserts, and make necessary size adjustments.
- Collect and chart SPC data based on process specifications.
- Follow all quality, operational, and Environmental Health and Safety procedures.
- Support 5S initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a CNC Machining or related Manufacturing program.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining principles, and CNC equipment.
- Understanding of programming fundamentals and CNC controls.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
