    About the role#

    EnerSys is looking for an Electronics Engineering Co-Op to join the Research and Advanced Development team in Burnaby. This role focuses on defining, prototyping, and validating new features for energy storage systems. You will work within a team to analyze system requirements and implement solutions through a structured development process.

    What you'll do#

    • Analyze and clarify proposed features by defining problems and validating approaches through calculations, simulations, and prototypes.
    • Design and develop hardware circuits for various test jigs, including both analog and digital circuitry.
    • Verify algorithm functionality by comparing analysis, simulation, and implementation against design specifications.
    • Develop and execute detailed test plans to validate algorithm implementations.
    • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports to communicate findings.

    What you'll need#

    • A strong grasp of electrical engineering fundamentals.
    • Experience developing embedded code in C for microcontrollers.
    • Familiarity with simulation software such as LTSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, or PLECS.
    • Experience with electronic test equipment like oscilloscopes, digital analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
    • Demonstrated research experience, such as project work, published papers, or thesis work.
    • Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering program in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.

    • Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
    • Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026, to December 18, 2026).
    • Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
    • Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 CAD per hour.
