About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to join the John Deere environmental team. You will work within a manufacturing facility to assist with the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and support factory compliance. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform facility inspections to review compliance with environmental regulations and EMS requirements.
- Manage specific environmental programs, including stormwater, chemical management, wastewater, and waste.
- Lead projects focused on reducing waste, energy, or water usage.
- Identify and implement environmental risk reduction projects.
- Create Power BI dashboards or Power Apps to track environmental data.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related major.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
- Basic knowledge of engineering statistics and environmental regulations.
- Ability to relocate domestically for the assignment.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Experience with project management, data analysis, and Microsoft Power BI is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
