About the role#
The EHS Intern works with the Safety Manager to support environmental, health, and safety initiatives across all company operations. This role provides hands-on exposure to compliance documentation, safety programs, and process improvement activities. You will work across multiple facilities to help promote a safe and responsible workplace.
What you'll do#
- Review and update Safety Data Sheets and chemical inventory documentation.
- Participate in safety walks, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Develop safety audit forms and checklists.
- Draft or update safety procedures and training materials.
- Collaborate with teams on hazard identification, corrective actions, and safety improvements.
- Compile and analyze safety data, trends, and audit results.
- Support environmental compliance activities like waste management and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with various departments.
- An interest in workplace safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement.

- Compensation: Paid internship.
- Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, and bending, with occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. You will work in both office and shop environments and may be exposed to manufacturing conditions.
