About the role#
The Quality Intern works with the Quality Manager to support process documentation, data organization, and improvement projects. You will gain hands-on experience with quality systems and manufacturing principles in a shop environment. This role involves working alongside different departments to help improve how we manage and track materials.
What you'll do#
- Document and review manufacturing and quality processes.
- Develop and organize standardized work instructions.
- Create and maintain systems for storing and analyzing process data.
- Generate reports and data summaries to support decision-making.
- Observe production processes and learn about inspection methods and quality control.
- Collaborate with teams on process improvement efforts.
- Follow safety policies and keep your work area clean and organized.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering degree program.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Power BI or databases is a plus.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and with a team.
- A basic understanding of manufacturing or quality principles.
- Interest in process documentation and continuous improvement.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in Clarkston, Georgia.
- The position is a full-time internship.
- Work is performed in a shop environment, which includes frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
