About the role#
This position is for full-time graduate students currently enrolled in a PhD program at Jefferson. The role provides a fellowship award and stipend to support your graduate studies. You will conduct research directly related to your degree requirements under the mentorship of a faculty advisor. The primary goal is to complete your doctoral dissertation or thesis while gaining experience in research design, data analysis, and scholarly communication.
What you'll do#
- Design and execute experiments relevant to your thesis research project.
- Collect, record, and analyze experimental data using statistical and computational tools.
- Present your research findings at lab meetings, departmental seminars, and conferences.
- Assist with the preparation of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Collaborate with faculty researchers, postdoctoral trainees, and other students on research design and execution.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in a biomedical or basic science field.
- Current enrollment or acceptance into a PhD program within the Jefferson College of Life Sciences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
