About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at Hy-Vee, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting while completing your pharmacy degree. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to assist with prescription processing, inventory management, and patient care. This is a full-time, paid position based in Omaha, Nebraska.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers and provide prompt, friendly service.
- Fill and process prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the pharmacy and dispensing area.
- Manage inventory tasks including ordering, stocking merchandise, and checking invoices.
- Protect customer privacy and maintain the confidentiality of medical information.
- Assist with the training of other pharmacy employees.
- Follow security and regulatory procedures, including quality assurance programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Active registration with the State Pharmacy Board as an intern.
- Up to six months of related work experience is preferred.
- Ability to work night and weekend shifts.
