About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship focused on forecast planning and inventory management. You will work on projects that drive business results while gaining hands-on experience in supply chain operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory strategy and cost recovery.
What you'll do#
- Develop and execute processes to manage excess and obsolete inventory.
- Collaborate with Finance and Warehouse teams to set inventory strategy at the plant and network levels.
- Partner with Manufacturing and Sales departments through the Material Review Board and discount-outlet processes.
- Maintain network inventory controls and targets.
- Analyze inventory health, levels, seasonality, and new-product-introduction impacts.
- Identify ways to recover costs and free up warehouse space.
- Create a standard operating procedure for future use.
- Present a final overview of your process, results, lessons learned, and remaining challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering (Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical).
- Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Full-time availability for 12 weeks during summer 2027.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation to the work location.
- Strong communication, project management, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic Excel knowledge is preferred.
