About the role#
The Operations and Supply Chain internship offers hands-on experience within a manufacturing and distribution environment. You will work alongside leadership teams to support daily business activities, analyze data, and contribute to projects that drive efficiency and cost savings. This role provides exposure to procurement, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Analyze existing operations to identify ways to streamline procedures and reduce costs.
- Collect and interpret operational data to generate reports and presentations for key stakeholders.
- Assist with project planning, including labor cost and resource allocation.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation, records, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics teams to resolve issues and improve workflows.
- Support material flow optimization by evaluating warehouse processes, production schedules, and inventory transactions.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance material availability and inventory accuracy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- At least junior standing with a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- High level of efficiency and attention to detail.
