About the role#
Zekelman Industries is seeking a Supply Chain Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is an on-site role based in Niles, Ohio, and Farrell, Pennsylvania. You will report to the Manager of Inventory and Replenishment and gain experience in inventory management, automated replenishment, and supply planning. You will work alongside teams in Supply Chain, IT, Sales, Operations, and Customer Experience to support the Automated Inventory Management (AIM) program.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and update customer, inventory, and replenishment data in the AIM program.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, system exceptions, and reporting issues.
- Develop reports, dashboards, presentations, and documentation to support business decisions.
- Analyze inventory consumption, replenishment activity, and program performance metrics.
- Review inventory trends to help evaluate supply planning recommendations.
- Monitor replenishment processes to ensure material availability for customer demand.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at efficiency and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on inventory management and continuous improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Analytics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical mindset and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to translate data findings into actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with SAP, data analytics tools, EDI systems, or automation technologies is a plus.
