About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience across Aggregate and Mining, Hot Mix Asphalt, and Quality Control departments. You will work alongside professionals including Mining Engineers and Environmental Managers to learn the full lifecycle of mining and production. The role focuses on applying engineering skills to real-world projects, covering everything from blasting to material processing and quality testing.
What you'll do#
- Review and analyze production workflows to improve efficiency and flow.
- Support maintenance projects, including the design, fabrication, and installation of equipment at HMA facilities.
- Gain exposure to budgeting, labor requirements, and throughput costs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, specifically in Mechanical Engineering.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
