About the role#
We are seeking a mechanical engineering student to join our Forensic Engineering team. You will provide support on equipment loss assessment matters, ranging from desktop reviews to complex technology claims. This role offers the chance to gain technical expertise in forensic engineering and equipment consulting.
What you'll do#
- Attend sites to conduct investigations, inspections, measurements, and photographic documentation.
- Inspect construction work and site conditions against company drawings and specifications.
- Develop, model, detail, and annotate buildings and structural systems using company software.
- Assist with the design, review, and analysis of structural and building code-related systems.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and project documentation.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year of a mechanical engineering degree program.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical aptitude to interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to travel to sites when necessary.
