About the role#
The Resource Development and Grants Intern will gain insight into the full grant lifecycle while supporting the organization's development efforts. This role provides experience in prospecting and grant writing while assisting with the administrative tasks necessary to support the local office.
What you'll do#
- Attend the required intern orientation.
- Research and identify potential donor prospects.
- Assist with donor outreach, relations, and cultivation processes.
- Support the grant writing process, including the organization and drafting of proposals.
- Help with administrative tasks related to proposal development.
- Record and submit monthly hours via the online volunteer dashboard.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or master’s degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Communications, or Sociology.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate resourcefulness.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with a specific focus on Excel.
