About the role#
The Client Data & Outreach Intern will support our efforts to help refugees and new arrivals reach self-sufficiency. This position reports to the Economic Empowerment Supervisor and focuses on both administrative data management and direct client engagement. This is an unpaid internship for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Conduct outreach to inform clients about available services and confirm their contact information.
- Update and maintain client records within our internal systems.
- Consolidate and organize service delivery data into spreadsheets and databases.
- Help clients address barriers to self-sufficiency, such as childcare, transportation, or language needs.
- Assist in developing new service opportunities for clients enrolled in programming.
- Track employment progress and document activities in case files.
- Research job openings and assist with resume or cover letter creation.
- Transport clients to employment-related activities as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, or recent graduation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills suitable for coaching and counseling roles.
- Comfort working with individuals from diverse global backgrounds.
- Willingness to transport clients using your personal vehicle.
- Majors in Psychology, Communications, Business Administration, or Human Resources are preferred.
