About the role#
This PhD internship focuses on module process development and yield improvement within semiconductor manufacturing. You will work on process integration flows and equipment configuration while supporting the team in analyzing defect data and conducting experiments. This role involves hands-on experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to module process development and equipment configuration.
- Support yield improvement by analyzing defect data and performing risk assessments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot process flow issues and optimize metrology strategies.
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts in manufacturing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program for Physics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or Chemistry.
- Proficiency in microscopy techniques.
- Background in semiconductor device physics and circuit design.
- Basic scripting skills in Python or similar languages.
- Understanding of scan and automatic test pattern generation methodologies.
- Preference is given to 3rd or 4th year PhD candidates.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools like JMP, MATLAB, or Python is helpful.
- Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes, post-silicon debugging, or EDA tools is a plus.
