About the role#
We are looking for a Financial Analyst intern to join our team for a four-month term. This is a full-time, paid position based in Montréal. You will work directly with our finance team to support reporting, data analysis, and process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Handle month-end and year-end journal entries and reporting tasks.
- Analyze financial reports to identify trends, variances, and performance opportunities.
- Work with different business units to clarify financial results.
- Assist with financial planning, forecasting, and performance comparisons.
- Extract, transform, and visualize financial data to determine key performance drivers.
- Document and implement new internal processes.
- Recommend actions to improve operational efficiency through automation and reporting.
- Ensure all financial activities align with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- You must be an active student during the internship or returning to school the following semester.
- Strong proficiency in Excel is required.
- You are bilingual in English and French, as you will interact with colleagues across the country.
- You have strong skills in data extraction, manipulation, and synthesis.
- You are autonomous, responsible, and detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of PowerBI or PowerQuery is an asset.
- Previous experience in accounting or finance is an asset.
- An aspiration to obtain a CPA designation is an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Montréal, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5 to April 23, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, 35 hours per week.
