About the role#
As a DevOps intern at Intact, you will join a team of technology experts to work on digital solutions for the insurance industry. This role offers the opportunity to gain professional experience while supporting software development and infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Implement and test code changes to fix defects and improve software products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve low to moderate system issues.
- Assist in developing requirements and provide recommendations for technical designs.
- Participate in the discovery phase of projects to help create high-level designs.
- Install and configure hardware, software, and cloud services.
- Support software and system monitoring tasks.
- Perform configuration activities and assist in automating the deployment of solutions as code.
- Work with tools including Java, Groovy/Gradle, Jenkins, Angular, Kubernetes, and Docker.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least one prior internship in a similar or related role.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Curiosity about continuous delivery pipelines and testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability, a commitment to continuous learning, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in both English and French.
- Must be an active student during the internship or returning to school in the Summer or Fall of 2027.
Location & details#
- Location: Montréal, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5th to April 23rd).
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
