About the role#
Indovinya is hiring a Chemical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, 10-week program based on-site in Port Neches, Texas. Interns will work within Production or Process Engineering, focusing on continuous production units, batch processes, or utilities. You will receive close supervision and mentorship as you gain hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support to your assigned area.
- Assist engineers with daily tasks and ongoing projects.
- Give regular status updates to your mentor.
- Ensure all work complies with the company integrated management system, including safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with team members across different backgrounds.
- Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives.
- Complete all required company training programs.
- Present your project assignments to the Site Leadership Team at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in an accredited four-year university.
- Junior or Senior standing by the end of Spring 2027.
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain or possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and internet research.
- Knowledge of basic chemical plant manufacturing principles and analysis methods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to research complex information, draw valid conclusions, and solve problems.
- Experience building professional relationships across organizational lines.
- Commitment to the full 10-week summer program.
