About the role#
Indovinya is hiring an I&E Engineer Intern for a summer role at our Port Neches, Texas facility. This position is part of a structured program designed to provide hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing. You will work within either Project Engineering or Reliability Engineering to support daily operations and specific assignments under the guidance of a mentor.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support to your assigned area.
- Support engineers with project tasks and day-to-day engineering activities.
- Give regular status updates on your projects to your mentor.
- Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, health, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with team members from various backgrounds.
- Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives.
- Complete all required company training programs.
- Present your final project assignments to the Site Leadership Team at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled full-time as a Junior or Senior in an accredited Electrical Engineering Bachelor of Science program.
- A 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs, email, and the internet.
- Knowledge of basic principles used in chemical plant manufacturing.
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to research information, draw conclusions, and build relationships across the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Proficiency in process simulation programs is preferred.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
