About the role#
IKO North America is seeking a Data Engineer Co-Op to join our Analytics team for the Summer 2026 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mississauga, Ontario. You will work alongside experienced professionals to build and maintain data pipelines, turning raw information into insights that support our operations.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure accurate integration from various sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize pipelines for performance, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Monitor existing data pipelines and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Document your work to support traceability, team training, and ongoing improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Data Science, or Computer Engineering program.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL and ETL tools, such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SSIS, or Talend.
- Experience with data transformation, cloud-based integration, and the Microsoft Fabric stack.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and practical experience with data-related projects.
- Bilingual proficiency in French is an asset.
