    About the role#

    IKO North America is seeking an HSE Engineering Co-Op for an 8-month or 12-month contract based in Milton, Ontario. This full-time, on-site position is scheduled to begin in the Fall 2026 term. You will work closely with the Plant Maintenance team to support strategic corporate initiatives and assist in the execution of capital projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with the Plant Maintenance team, including managers, supervisors, millwrights, and electricians.
    • Shadow the Maintenance Manager to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work Instructions (SWIs).
    • Assist the Reliability Engineer in reviewing current Preventative (PM) and Predictive (PdM) maintenance activities to ensure proper asset care.
    • Perform spare parts optimization to support PM and PdM inspection tasks for critical assets.
    • Prepare drawings and models for various projects.
    • Work with maintenance staff to establish best practices and transfer technical information into standard PM templates.
    • Support additional engineering projects related to plant operations and maintenance.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a post-secondary engineering program (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering).
    • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Critical thinking skills and a high degree of organization.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
    • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Maximo is preferred.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD is considered an asset.
    • A commitment to the health and safety of all employees, contractors, and visitors.

    • Location: Milton, Ontario, Canada.
    • Term: Fall 2026.
    • Modality: On-site, full-time (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week).
    • Compensation: $23.50/hour - $26.50/hour.
