About the role#
IKO North America is hiring an HSE Engineering Co-Op for our facility in Milton, Ontario. This role supports the Plant Maintenance team in executing strategic corporate initiatives and capital projects. You will work on-site for the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Plant Maintenance team, including managers, supervisors, millwrights, and electricians.
- Shadow the Maintenance Manager to create standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Assist the Reliability Engineer with a comprehensive review of all current preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
- Optimize spare parts in support of inspection tasks for critical assets.
- Prepare drawings and models for ongoing projects.
- Work with technical staff to document best practices and ensure data is transferred into standard templates.
- Manage additional engineering projects related to plant operations and maintenance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary engineering program (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Electrical, or Environmental).
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Critical thinking skills and a high degree of organization.
- Experience with CMMS systems like Maximo is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is an asset.
- Troubleshooting capability is an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Milton, Ontario.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, day shift.
- Compensation: $23.50 to $26.50 per hour.
