Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe successful candidate will contribute in various research projects beginning during the Summer 2026 Co-op term, for a duration of 8 or 12 months. Please only apply if you are available for a minimum of 8 months.The position supports laboratory operations by performing routine tests, maintaining equipment, assisting with laboratory projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare samples, reagents, and solutions for analysis according to standard procedures.Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and relevant standards.Accurately record and report test results in a timely manner.Receive samples, record them in the database, and ensure timely shipment to the relevant plant after assessmentsFollow all laboratory health and safety protocols and best practices and guidelines.Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.Coordinate work to maintain efficiency and ensure timely completion of laboratory tasks.Coordinate with other technicians to complete tasks according to the planned schedule.Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.Support technicians and scientists in ongoing projects.Perform any reasonable tasks and contribute to projects as directed by the manager to support laboratory operations.QualificationsSenior student in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering Technology, or related field.Detail oriented and maintains organizational skills to support team tasks.Demonstrates problem-solving and analytical abilities in routine tasks.Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively and efficiently with the team.
