About the role#
Canplas Industries Ltd is seeking a student for a full-time warehouse position during the summer of 2026. This role supports the distribution center by ensuring accurate and efficient service for our clients while maintaining high quality and safety standards. This position is based on-site in Edmonton, Alberta.
What you'll do#
- Pick, stack, wrap, and stage outbound freight to meet warehouse goals.
- Perform duties using RF technology for receiving, locating, and processing orders.
- Execute tasks in the required sequence to meet delivery deadlines.
- Perform stock replenishment and miscellaneous administrative tasks for courier orders.
- Maintain a clean workspace according to 5S protocols.
- Monitor equipment, report malfunctions, and identify unsafe conditions immediately.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a recognized educational institution, with a preference for students in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Ability to lift 5 to 50 pounds repeatedly and remain on your feet for long periods.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English.
- Good communication skills and basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to work in an environment with changing climates and shifting daily priorities.
- A diligent, punctual, and self-motivated approach to teamwork.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
