About the role#
IKO North America is seeking a Corporate Electrical Engineering Co-Op to support the Electrical Engineering Department. This position involves assisting senior engineers with project work and manufacturing operations across North America. The role begins in the Fall 2026 term for a minimum duration of 12 months.
What you'll do#
- Create, edit, and update electrical schematics and layout drawings using AutoCAD.
- Manage documentation and spreadsheets for bill of materials, cable schedules, job tracking, and estimating.
- Assist senior engineers with daily responsibilities and project requirements.
- Support PLC programming tasks as needed.
- Perform other engineering duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a 3rd or 4th year university student in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
- Strong understanding of basic electrical theory, control circuits, and PLC programming in ladder logic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and effectively within a team environment.
