About the role#
As a Community Development Intern at ICCU, you will support our team in connecting with members and the local community. This role offers hands-on experience in event production, communication, and business administration. You will work directly with our Community Development, Communications, and Events teams to help organize and execute various projects.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Community Development, Communications, and Events teams.
- Assist with the planning, organization, and execution of events.
- Manage administrative tasks such as updating spreadsheets, databases, and inventories.
- Handle physical tasks including lifting equipment like coolers, tables, or money machines weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Travel locally as required and stand for extended periods during events.
What you'll need#
- A valid Driver’s License, as this role involves driving.
- The ability to work weekends and holidays when scheduled.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational habits.
- Eligibility for membership at ICCU.
- Capacity to operate basic office machines and reach keyboards.
