About the role#
As a Community Development Intern, you will assist the Community Development team in planning and executing events. This role offers hands-on experience in event production, business administration, and strategic partnerships while engaging with members and the local community.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Community Development, Communications, and Events teams.
- Assist with the planning, organization, and execution of events.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets, databases, and inventories.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting 70-80 pounds of equipment, such as coolers, tables, and event machinery.
- Stand for extended periods and operate standard office equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or background in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or Human Resources.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to tolerate extensive local travel.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Eligibility for membership at ICCU.
