About the role#
As a Software Developer Intern in the Infrastructure team, you will build and maintain software solutions that support hybrid cloud, storage, data protection, and security products. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to help clients manage and modernize their IT environments.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and test software solutions throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Build scalable, secure applications, APIs, and backend services.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, quality assurance, and operations teams.
- Resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Contribute to technical design reviews and code reviews.
- Write technical documentation, test plans, and operational procedures.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Participate in agile processes like sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in at least one language such as Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and data structures.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Git, Linux/Unix environments, and command-line tools.
- Knowledge of databases, cloud concepts, and containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience with storage, cybersecurity, or enterprise infrastructure technologies.
- Understanding of testing methodologies, debugging, and performance analysis.
- Familiarity with AI/ML, automation frameworks, or SRE practices.
- Knowledge of IBM technologies or cloud platforms is helpful.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based in Tucson, Arizona.
- The role follows a hybrid work model.
