About the role#
This 16-week co-op position offers students hands-on experience working on real software projects. You will join engineering teams to design, build, and test software that supports cloud, AI, and hybrid-platform solutions. This role requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, and you must be able to pause your coursework during the term.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, development, testing, and debugging of software across front-end, back-end, or full-stack environments.
- Write code using various programming languages, including Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, Go, Rust, Swift, or Kotlin.
- Build user interfaces with frameworks like React and contribute to back-end services and APIs.
- Use Git for version control and collaboration.
- Work with cloud and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Explore emerging technologies such as AI/ML, automation, and cloud-native development.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, with plans to return to school after the co-op.
- Ability to start a full-time role between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Coursework or project experience in software development and familiarity with data structures, algorithms, or debugging.
- Exposure to front-end or back-end technologies like React, Node.js, Python, Java, or SQL.
- Experience using Git and familiarity with REST APIs and databases.
- Interest in cloud computing, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and learn quickly in a team environment.
