About the role#
This internship offers a chance to work with the IBM creative team. You will help shape how the brand is expressed across various experiences. The role focuses on turning complex content into an understandable system that meets user needs. You will partner with strategists, designers, and creative directors to tell stories about technology and the people who use it.
What you'll do#
- Distill complex messages into sharp headlines.
- Craft scripted dialogue and voiceover content.
- Write blog posts, articles, and supporting materials.
- Act as a steward of the brand to support its vision and voice.
- Guide projects by applying writing standards and best practices.
- Present work and pitch ideas to creative directors and stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university as a rising senior for the 2027-2028 school year.
- Superior English language writing and editing skills, including a strong grasp of diction, syntax, and grammar.
- A portfolio demonstrating success in writing and creative work.
- Experience with stakeholder interactions and video advocacy.
- Basic knowledge of Agile principles.
- Ability to handle project changes with flexibility.
- Ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Modality: Hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24 to August 13).
- Employment: Full-time paid internship.
