About the role#
As a Technical Sales Specialist Intern in Expert Labs, you will lead client engagements that help organizations adopt technology and get the most value from their IBM investments. You will work across sales, consulting, and technical teams to drive growth in areas including software, infrastructure, hybrid cloud, data, automation, and AI.
What you'll do#
- Lead opportunities through the entire sales cycle, from initial discovery to final closure.
- Build relationships with business and technical stakeholders to understand client challenges.
- Align Expert Labs services and IBM technologies with specific business outcomes.
- Develop proposals, presentations, and account growth strategies.
- Identify new business opportunities by researching industry trends and client priorities.
- Partner with architects, consultants, technical specialists, and customer success managers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Bring market intelligence and customer insights into strategic account planning.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in a technical, business, or analytical field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong interest in technology sales, consulting, or business development.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer outcomes.
- Experience or knowledge related to cloud, AI, data, automation, infrastructure, or enterprise software solutions.
- Familiarity with IBM Software, Red Hat, Power, or Storage solutions is an asset.
- Experience working with customers across various industries or a background in professional services.
