About the role#
This internship focuses on the IBM Power enterprise computer systems. You will work on firmware, hypervisors, and operating systems. The team develops systems management and control features alongside AI hardware enablement. You will envision solutions and experiment with new ideas to help move technology forward.
What you'll do#
- Write and maintain low-level code for enterprise systems.
- Develop and implement firmware and operating system components.
- Create systems management and control tools.
- Enable AI hardware functionality.
- Develop software and unit tests.
- Build and use APIs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python or C/C++.
- Coursework or experience with Operating Systems and Algorithms.
- Understanding of Data Structures and Software Design.
- Knowledge of Databases and SQL programming.
- Familiarity with virtualization concepts and cloud operations.
- Experience with Git or other source control systems.
- Ability to work with AI and Machine Learning frameworks.
- Experience contributing to open source projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including documentation.
