About the role#
As a Software Intern, you will join a project team to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality software solutions. You will work on assignments of limited scope, applying technical concepts and theoretical knowledge to support team goals. This is a part-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Code and program enhancements, updates, and changes for system software portions and subsystems.
- Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned code.
- Identify, log, and debug assigned issues.
- Develop professional relationships with internal and outsourced development partners.
- Participate as a project team member to support software development efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program focusing on Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience or understanding of software systems design tools and languages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with design principles for software systems running on multiple platforms.
- Understanding of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication, with mastery of English and the local language.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Aguadilla or San Juan, Puerto Rico.
- The work modality is hybrid, requiring an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office.
