About the role#
SR International Incorporation is hiring an Associate Agile Developer in Test for a 6-month internship. This role is designed for current college students or recent graduates who want hands-on experience with test automation and enterprise technology. You will work within an Agile team, receive mentorship, and contribute to the quality of our software releases.
What you'll do#
- Support software release verification through smoke and regression testing.
- Write, review, and maintain test cases that align with user stories and risk assessments.
- Build and expand automated tests using Java, JUnit, Selenium, and Cucumber.
- Work with developers early in the process to identify test scenarios and clarify requirements.
- Maintain test assets like step definitions, page objects, and utilities.
- Analyze test failures and assist with defect triage and documentation.
- Help improve our overall test strategy and coverage.
What you'll need#
- A degree or progress toward a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Java and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Understanding of software testing concepts, including JUnit and the defect lifecycle.
- Foundational SQL skills and experience with database testing.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Experience with build tools like Maven.
- A willingness to learn and collaborate in an Agile environment.
- Preferred experience includes Spring Boot, Oracle, MongoDB, CI/CD tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Awareness of application security principles and interest in AI or machine learning for testing is a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona. You must be local to the area and able to attend onsite meetings as needed.
- The role is hybrid, typically requiring 2 to 3 days onsite initially, followed by remote work with monthly office visits.
- You must provide your own personal laptop for use during the internship.
- This is a full-time, paid position at $18 per hour.
