About the role#
As a Back End Developer Intern, you will work on enterprise-scale projects that impact users globally. You will collaborate with architects and developers to build and maintain backend services, APIs, and internal tooling. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience across full stack system architecture while learning from experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and data integrations.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, architects, and product managers.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
- Support the deployment and monitoring of backend applications in cloud, enterprise, and hybrid environments.
- Learn and apply software engineering and backend architecture best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree program.
- Experience in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Golang, Ruby, Python, Perl, SQL, Java, JavaScript, or Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with software development concepts, the Software Development Lifecycle, and Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of APIs, JSON, and Web Services.
- Knowledge of operating systems, container technologies, virtualization, and cloud operations.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, tools like Jenkins or Github Actions, and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Understanding of computer security, cryptography, and Assembly language.
- Familiarity with AI fundamentals and coding assistants.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn new technologies.
