About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based at our corporate office in West Des Moines, Iowa. You will work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, from mid-May through mid-August 2027. The role offers exposure to our retail grocery operations through site visits and regular meetings with leadership, including the Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
What you'll do#
- Process and audit outside vendor invoices and statements.
- Enter data into the fixed asset system.
- Assist with accounts receivable and payroll tasks.
- Research invoice statuses for stores and vendors.
- Perform project analysis and ad-hoc research.
- Work alongside senior accounting staff.
- Answer inquiries from customers, vendors, and store personnel.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor degree program in accounting.
- Ability to use basic computer systems, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Skill in identifying problems and executing solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform sedentary work in an office setting.
