About the role#
As an Assurance Intern at Honkamp, P.C., you will gain hands-on experience in public accounting. This internship provides exposure to audit, review, and compilation engagements. You will work under direct supervision to build your technical skills and understanding of financial reporting. This is a full-time, paid position for Fall 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with and complete tasks for audit, review, and compilation engagements.
- Document your work and learn financial reporting requirements.
- Build technical skills related to US Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
- Help maintain client relationships and assist with service delivery.
- Participate in office initiatives like recruitment and marketing.
- Learn the software and internal procedures used by the assurance department.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Ability to learn how to operate standard office equipment.
- Capacity to work at a computer in a stationary position for extended periods.
