About the role#
As a Tax Intern at Honkamp, P.C., you will work with our team to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world projects. This role provides exposure to public accounting and helps you develop your technical and client service skills. What you'll do#
- Prepare level 3 and 4 tax returns.
- Document your work effectively.
- Maintain tax records and assist with data entry.
- Learn our tax processes, including scanning, assembly, and verification procedures.
- Gain an understanding of basic income tax returns, deadlines, and extensions.
- Use various tax, workflow, and verification software.
- Help with administrative tasks and act as an ambassador to your university.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn how to operate standard office equipment.
- Capacity to work at a computer while seated for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a shared office environment.
