About the role#
Honkamp, P.C. is seeking an Accounting Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This on-site position allows you to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects while gaining exposure to the public accounting industry. You will work directly with our team to support client needs and build your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Process monthly accounts.
- Prepare bank reconciliations.
- Handle state sales and use tax filings.
- Prepare annual 1099 and 1096 forms.
- Maintain client depreciation schedules.
- Complete administrative tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting degree program.
- A strong academic record.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs.
- Proven ability to manage time, communicate clearly, and solve problems.

- Location: Dubuque, Iowa.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
