About the role#
Honkamp, P.C. is hiring an Assurance Intern for the Fall 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site in Davenport, Iowa. You will work under direct supervision and coaching to gain experience in public accounting, with the potential to transition into a full-time role.
What you'll do#
- Assist with tasks related to audit, review, and compilation engagements.
- Document your work effectively.
- Build your understanding of financial reporting requirements, including US GAAP, FRF for SMEs, Tax, and Modified Cash basis.
- Learn to use assurance department software, policies, and procedures.
- Support the team by assisting with administrative functions.
- Participate in office initiatives such as recruitment and marketing.
- Develop professional relationships within the department and firm.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- The ability to learn how to operate standard office equipment.
- The ability to work in a shared office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Comfort with remaining in a stationary position at a desk for extended periods.
