About the role#
As a Data Science Co-Op at Honeywell, you will work with experienced data scientists on projects that drive business decisions. You will gain hands-on experience in software development and data analysis while reporting to our Senior Engineering Program Manager. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities.
- Develop and implement analytical models to process complex data sets.
- Create data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Perform data analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
- Monitor trends in data science to identify new tools and technologies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
- Must graduate in December 2027 or later and remain enrolled in your degree program after the co-op.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or asylum/refugee status.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with LLMs, dense vector text embedding models, NoSQL or vector databases, and Knowledge Graph construction.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as matplotlib, plotly, or Power BI.
- Experience with infrastructure as code.
- Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative team environment.

- Location: Pittsford, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Pay: $20 to $45 per hour.
