About the role#
As a Data Scientist Co-op on the Strategic Solutions & Enablement team, you will work with experienced data scientists and engineers on real projects that support business decision-making. This is a multi-term program designed to provide progressively deeper hands-on experience. You will learn how production data science is done from start to finish, including framing business questions, exploring data, building and validating models, and communicating results. You are expected to be curious, learn quickly, and contribute to the team's work under mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Assist in exploring, cleaning, and preparing data from internal sources for analysis and modeling.
- Write Python and SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data.
- Help build, test, and tune machine learning models, covering both classical methods and applied generative AI approaches.
- Support the creation of prototypes, demos, and visualizations.
- Participate in team standups, design discussions, and code or peer reviews.
- Document work clearly for team use.
- Present findings and progress to the team and business partners.
- Apply feedback and coursework to take on more substantial contributions across multiple co-op terms.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Ability to commit to multiple co-op terms, alternating semesters, per a standard university co-op model.
- Foundational Python skills, such as experience with Pandas, NumPy, or scikit-learn.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Exposure to statistics or machine learning concepts through coursework or projects.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in learning cloud data platforms like Snowflake and AWS.
- Familiarity with version control, such as Git, is preferred.
- Experience with machine learning, generative AI, or data visualization tools like Tableau or Streamlit is a plus.
- Interest in the automotive industry or large-scale marketplace data.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Modality: Hybrid, with the ability to work in-office 1 to 3 days per week.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Travel: Up to 5%.
