About the role#
As a Materials Engineering or Materials Science intern at Honeywell, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside our team of experts. You will contribute to projects that develop and advance materials integral to our products. This role provides insight into materials development and their application in real-world scenarios.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of advanced materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate materials into our products.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify new materials and technologies.
- Support materials testing and characterization activities.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and recommend their incorporation into product development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Material Science, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a similar field.
- Must graduate in December 2027 or later.
- Must continue enrollment in your degree program after the internship ends.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Familiarity with materials characterization techniques and knowledge of material properties.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively and multitask across different projects.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This internship is for Summer 2027.
- The position is on-site at various locations across the United States. The specific work site is determined by business needs and your qualifications.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- Relocation benefits and short-term housing are provided if your assigned work location is 50 miles or more from your residence.
